Emmanuel Jal to play in Queen Square
African hip-hop star Emmanuel Jal has won worldwide respect for his infectious melodies and unique style of rap. His positive message of peace and reconciliation was born out of his experiences as a child soldier in Sudan. See him at 7pm on the Big Fun Day in Queen Square, Bristol, a free intercultural event from 1-8pm during the National Refugee Week celebrations.

If you wanted to see Tinariwen, hopefully you already have tickets as the Cactus Jazz night at Fiddlers has sold out. Roots Rock rebels of the Southern Sahara and stars of The Festival In The Desert, Tinariwen have enjoyed enormous success in the world's media since they last played a Cactus Jazz night in Bristol.
