The Nova Scotia Folk Club Reaches 40
There's been a folk club at the Nova Scotia for over 40 years, maintaining the folk tradition by supporting quality local and national roots music acts. The club celebrated its 40th birthday this September and continues to meet every Monday at the Nova Scotia at 8pm. All musicians and singers are welcome.
 
Third World at Fiddlers, 18th Oct
Third World, only one band that challenged the international dominance of Bob Marley at the height of his career are playing at Fiddlers, Bristol on Thursday 18 October 2007. Their unique blend of roots reggae, funk, soul and rap has delighted audiences worldwide, from their 1977 release ‘96 Degrees in the Shade’ to date. With 10 Grammy nominations and the United Nations Peace Award, Third World are truly one of the international reggae greats that should not be missed!

Cinematic Orchestra and Bonobo at Colston Hall 31st Oct
A scintillating double bill at the Colston Hall as the Cinematic Orchestra are joined by the wonderful Bonobo for a tasty night from the world of Ninja. The Cinematic Orchestra’s recordings have always been sumptuous and lush, but it’s their ability to transform their material in the live arena which has made them stand out, stunning audiences across the UK.  Bonobo is a non-conforming DJ trashing ideas of his laid back style by dragging the laid back onto the dancefloor.
