The Bristol Festival - A Replacement for Ashton Court 2008? |
|
The Bristol Festival is a proposed event for 2008 as a replacement for the Bristol Community Festival at Ashton Court. Volunteers feel Bristol needs a community music festival, so a Public Consultation Evening at Trinity has been planned to garner your views and support for a new festival celebrating the region's music, performing arts and local culture. The consultation will take place on 25th Oct at Trinity, read on for more details.
The Public Consultation Evening takes place at Trinity, Trinity Road, St Phillips on Thursday 25th October from 6pm. Bring your views and skills to contribute. "Media representatives, as well as local businesses, traders, volunteers and general public are all invited to attend the consultation, as the evening is an open invitation for anybody who would like to express their interests or learn more about the festival and its potential. The consultation is an important feature of our efforts to encourage the public to get involved with the festival, either through raising points at the meeting or taking active participation in the events organisation. It's your festival, get involved. There will also be further news about up and coming fundraising activities, design competitions, and a vote on the festival's name." Latest Updates will be found on the website . |
