Tinariwen At Fiddlers, Bristol
If you wanted to see Tinariwen, hopefully you already have tickets as the Cactus Jazz night at Fiddlers has sold out. Roots Rock rebels of the Southern Sahara and stars of The Festival In The Desert, Tinariwen have enjoyed enormous success in the world's media since they last played a Cactus Jazz night in Bristol. Fortunately (for ticketholders) they are back to enjoy the intimacy of Fiddlers rather than heading for the larger capacity Colston Hall

“This is SENSATIONAL! The album of 2007 and we haven’t even finished 2006 yet. There are plenty of bands who know how to rock, but very few who know how to roll. Tinariwen are the masters of roll’n’roll.” - Andy Kershaw

“Nurtured in exile, raised in conflict, and driven underground, where they achieved legendary status, Tinariwen are the kind of band that generations of western rebel rockers could only dream of being.” The Guardian

If you are looking for a little background and a few clues as to why tickets have sold like hotcakes, try this Guardian article as a taster. There is more info to be found on the Cactus Jazz website
